Bringing AI-native voice, analytics, and intelligence to healthcare, enterprise, and multi-location organizations — powered by 30 years of trust and the infrastructure to deliver it.
Confidential — Prepared for Continuant Leadership
Legacy PBX systems are aging out across the industry. AI demand is surging. But most organizations don't have a plan — and they're looking to their trusted partners for answers.
Continuant's customers need AI — and they trust Continuant to bring it to them.
Continuant has the relationships, the field teams, and three decades of enterprise and healthcare trust. Nucleus has the AI technology, the telecom infrastructure, and the products. Together: the only partnership that delivers AI-native communications to enterprise and healthcare — end to end.
You keep the relationship. We power the technology.
Enterprise AI specialists. Co-founded by Jody Schnarr and John Stix, with a leadership team combining over 100 years of experience in telecommunications and technology. Built on proprietary telecom infrastructure processing 600M+ minutes per month through Canada's largest competitive local exchange carrier.
We own the entire stack — from the data center to the application layer. Purpose-built infrastructure. Proprietary AI. No third-party dependencies.
Platform Architecture
Every Continuant customer is different. That's why we've designed four deployment scenarios — from full infrastructure replacement to lightweight AI overlay — so every customer gets exactly what they need.
When the legacy Avaya or Mitel system has reached end-of-life, deploy the complete modern stack. AI-native from day one — a single platform, a single bill, and intelligence built into every call.
Customer keeps their existing Avaya, Mitel, or Cisco infrastructure. Nucleus Core connects via standard SIP channel to layer AI on top — an intelligent front-end agent and full IRIS analytics without replacing a single piece of hardware.
For Continuant's smaller locations — physician offices, clinics, specialist practices, and SMB offices across any vertical. Nucleus Pulse delivers an AI phone agent with a dedicated dashboard. HIPAA compliant. Deploys in days, not months.
AI phone agent + dashboard purpose-built for medical clinics and small healthcare practices
For Continuant's largest enterprise accounts that want full AI transformation beyond communications. Abby Prime deploys a colony of 7 specialized AI agents across the entire organization, orchestrated by a dedicated CIO from Nucleus.
In healthcare and enterprise, security isn't a feature — it's a prerequisite. Every layer of the Nucleus platform was designed from the ground up with data sovereignty, patient privacy, and regulatory compliance at its core.
Data never leaves the customer perimeter. Every deployment is isolated, encrypted, and sovereign.
Built for the most demanding regulatory environments across healthcare, finance, government, and enterprise.
Automatic redaction at the MPC Gateway layer. Protected health information stays protected.
End-to-end encryption at rest and in transit. Industry-standard cryptographic protection.
Complete, tamper-proof audit trail. Every access, every action, every decision — logged and verifiable.
Your data never trains someone else's AI. No data leaves the perimeter. Period.
"Your data never trains someone else's AI."
A co-branded partnership where Continuant owns the customer relationship and revenue, while Nucleus provides the technology, platform, and backend support.
AI products generate ongoing monthly revenue for Continuant — not a one-time sale. Predictable, scalable, compounding.
Existing customers get AI without switching providers. The relationship deepens instead of fragmenting to a competitor.
No other UC partner can offer embedded AI communications. This positions Continuant as the leader in enterprise and healthcare AI communications.
Continuant's field techs service the deployment. Nucleus provides L2/L3 backend support. Your team stays in the field.
You keep the relationship. We power the technology.
A clear path forward — designed to deliver measurable results quickly while building for long-term partnership success.
Nucleus engineering team walks through architecture, integration points, and deployment requirements with Continuant's technical leadership.
Identify 3–5 customers across scenarios A, B, and C. Mix of enterprise and SMB. Real deployments with measurable outcomes.
Finalize joint branding, marketing materials, and go-to-market positioning. Continuant + Nucleus — one unified offering.
Launch pilots, track KPIs, refine the playbook, and scale across Continuant's entire healthcare portfolio.

Let's build the future of enterprise communications — together.
A comparison of the Agentic AI PBX model versus the Nucleus Core architecture — where they align, where they diverge, and why the difference matters.
The deck correctly identifies the shift. These concepts are aligned with our direction.
PBX understands conversations, not just routes calls. Intent replaces menu trees. AI becomes the interface. Aligns with our Phase 2A and 2B — SPAM filtering, AI answering and routing intelligently, intent-driven flow.
Orchestrator, receptionist, sales, compliance, analytics agents. Maps to our PRO vs DIY model, customer vs employee intelligence. They are building an AI workforce inside communications.
Communication, perception, cognition, action, data, security. They recognize separation of concerns — an important architectural decision.
RBAC, zero trust, explainable AI. They understand enterprise requirements and the governance conversation.
This is where the gap matters. Six fundamental differences.
Their model: agents are primary, orchestrator manages agents. Our model: MPC controls everything. Agents are tools inside MPC. The controller is not an agent — it is a policy-enforced execution layer. That is more defensible.
Their architecture assumes integration with telecom — API layer on top. We own telecom via Fibernetics: SIP, routing, CDR, identity. Without telecom ownership, they are a software layer. With it, we become infrastructure. Single biggest strategic difference.
They mention security, encryption, compliance. They do NOT define retrieval-based architecture, data isolation from models, controlled outbound intelligence, or AI access gating. Our architecture explicitly includes PII protection, IP protection, and controller-based data retrieval.
They assume LLM-driven cognition. We design SLM vs LLM routing, deterministic systems first, model interchangeability. They build on top of models. We abstract models. That creates long-term leverage.
They describe adaptive, autonomous, continuous learning. They do NOT address what happens when AI fails. No reversion to deterministic systems, no full shutdown control. Nucleus explicitly includes rollback, burst control, and kill switch. Enterprise critical.
Their framing: Agentic AI PBX = AI enhanced PBX. Our framing: Enterprise Voice Operating System with AI as a controlled subsystem. That is a higher-order system.
This is the real takeaway.
They are building AI-powered applications. We are building AI governance infrastructure. That is equivalent to AWS versus an app built on AWS.
They separate telecom layer and AI layer. We merge telecom (Fibernetics) and AI orchestration (Nucleus). That creates data control, latency advantage, and enforcement capability.
They create more agents. We solve the too-many-agents problem. That is the real enterprise pain.
They imply it. We architect it. That is different.
A clean comparison.
One is a product.
The other is infrastructure.
If we do not claim this correctly:
We will be positioned as another AI PBX vendor.
If we do claim it correctly:
We become the control layer every AI PBX has to sit on top of.
This is where we push back on ourselves.
They have "Agentic AI PBX." We have MPC, Core, Walled Garden, Voice System — fragmented language. We need a single category definition.
They are aggressive: "New category of communications platform." We are still positioned as AI layer on top of telecom. That is too conservative.
Our architecture is stronger but harder to explain. Their story is simple: "AI agents run your communications." Ours needs simplification to match the clarity of the system we have built.
The Agentic AI PBX deck validates our direction. But it also shows the risk: they are defining the category in a way that is below our architecture. We are building one layer deeper. Not AI inside communications — but control over AI in communications.
Right now we have the better system. They have the clearer story.
